Because of COVID lockdown I haven't been able to wear it out but I've finally gotten around to taking a few photos at home! My thoughts:
This cape is elegant yet cute. I really love the design of this piece and the embroidery detailing. Keen to wear this at the next event I get to go to!
What could have been done better:
1) The inside of the Cape is made of a slippery material - meaning that the Cape slides off of my shoulders too easily. Being slippery is okay for the inside of the Cape, but not for the shoulders where the Cape should sit stable and allow the wearer a piece of mind that the Cape won't slip off as soon as they take their hands off of it.
2) there were also no clip/button or other used to hold the Cape together at the front of the cape. Having a clip/button or other would help the wearer keep the cape closed on the front. No button in combination with the slippery material means the cape slides off without inhibition. Having a button also gives the wearer a choice to keep the cape stylistically closed at the front if they desire. Though I'm assuming thr design of this cape is meant to stay a little open?
3) The embroidery work had a few strings coming out but nothing too noticeable (otherwise I love the embroidery)
My own mods:
I personally sowed in a button and string on the collar of the cape to keep the cape sitting comfortably. I might consider sowing in a flat non-slip material for my shoulders to keep the cape in place though.
