Inspired by the silhouettes of Palestinian village women with simple cotton dresses and fitted Syrian silk waist coats
This beautiful art piece is a precious garment and a tribute to Palestinian Fallahi women
- This is a make-to-order item that takes approximately 4-6 weeks of production
- Two piece dress
- Hand embroidery on the length of the skirt
- Puff sleeves with elastic bands
- Handmade crochet on neckline
- Fitted waistcoat or "Shdad". Made from traditional Syrian silk "Saya". Traditionally the "Shdad" was used to store money and personal belongings and to lift the breasts.
- 50 hours of embroidery
- The model height is 167 cm and weighs 49 kg and is wearing size XS

At Deerah, we believe that traditional Palestinian hand embroidery Tatreez is a superior form of artistry and a beautiful means of connection to our homeland and heritage.
Not only is it extremely intricate and beautiful, but it is also a movement against fast fashion and unnecessary waste caused by the fashion industry.
Hand embroidered pieces were traditionally made over a span of months or even years and passed down from generation to generation.
To honor all these aspects, we ensure to provide the highest level of quality and produce our pieces ethically.

1) Consultation Call
In your consultation call we will talk about all design aspects including but not limited to;
- Event type or theme if applicable. Examples include (Weddings, engagements, Henna parties, Katb Ktab and more)
- Silhouette and over-all design
- Fabric and color palette
- Embroidery type and placement
- Motifs. This includes thread color palette and meaning/symbols you would like to incorporate in your design
- Accessories (hand-embroidered shawls, headpieces, etc.)
2) Design Process (USD 350)
After the consultation call, our team puts together a rough sketch of the design and draws out the digitized motifs with the decided colors. Giving you a comprehensive look at what your design will look like. This amount is deducted from the total price of the piece. Once this is approved we can start bringing your design to life!
Design changes are priced according to complexity & time needs. The first minor change is free.
For an additional fee, you also have the option to order a sample package (fabric, colors & the option to have a small motif embroidered).
3) Implementation
If you choose to go with hand-embroidery, it's worth mentioning that it's done by Palestinian refugees in Jordan in our efforts to ensure sustainable income and the continuity of Tatreez.
- Hand-embroidery time varies depending on the amount of embroidery
- For machine-embroidery, it usually takes from 2-4 months depending on our production schedule & the amount of embroidery
- After embroidery is finished, your design will be assembled, dry cleaned and packed for shipping
